The instrumentÆs built-in display and setpoint control eliminate the need for separate power supply and readout electronics, that can cost as much as the flow controller. A straight, large diameter sensor tube prevents clogging and contamination, and the fast response valve provides precise one-step control of critical gas flows. You simply set it and forget it!

FMA-1900 provides both digital readout of mass flow rate and setpoint adjustment on-board! Available in your choice of engineering units at flow rates of up to 50 standard liters per minute (SLPM), the unit provides a continuous display of actual gas mass flow rate. To change flow rates, you simply adjust the reading on the display. For applications that require remote setpoint control, the unit accepts 0-5 VDC or 4-20 mA command signals. FMA-1900 flow controller is powered by a regulated 15 or 24 VDC power source, normally provided by the convenient OMEGA Power-Pak, or optionally by the customer. Power and setpoint control are supplied through a 15-pin ôDö connector. Both 0-5 VDC and 4-20 mA output signals are available for data-management and control purposes.

Flow Rates: 0-10 SCCM to 0-50 SLPM; flow ranges specified are for an equivalent flow of nitrogen at 760 mm Hg and 21°C (70°F); other ranges in other units are available (e.g., SCFH or nm3/h)
Minimum Delta P Requirements: 5-50 PSID (0.35-3.5 kg/cm2) optimum
Gases: Most gases (e.g., air, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, argon, methane, hydrogen, helium); check compatibility with wetted materials; specify when ordering
Output Signal: Linear 0-5 Vdc into 2000 ohm minimum load resistance and linear 4-20 mA into 1000 ohm maximum load resistance (500 w/15 Vdc supply)
Input Power: 15 or 24 Vdc ±10%; to 15 SLPM; 24 Vdc ±10%; 16 to 50 SLPM
Control Range: Calibrated for 10 to 100% of full scale flow
Controls: Local setpoint potentiometer; zero potentiometer; calibration linearization potentiometers

Leak Integrity: 1 x 10-4 ATM cc/sec of helium maximum to outside environment. (Not recommended for use as a positive shut-off valve)
Gas and Ambient Temperature: 32 to 120°F (0 to 50°C)
Wetted Materials: 10% glass-filled Nylon 6/6; 316 stainless steel, 430F stainless steel; nickel plating; Viton O-rings.
